Vacuuming regularly is your best weapon in keeping your new carpet dirt free. Depending on the amount of traffic your carpet receives, will be dependent on how often it should be vacuumed:
1. Vacuum non-traffic areas at least weekly. Areas subjected to light traffic should be vacuumed twice weekly with up to three passes of the vacuum being sufficient.
2. Moderate To Heavy Traffic Areas require more attention and more thorough cleaning or vacuuming (“thorough” meaning at least five passes over these areas with your vacuum) two to five times per week. Heavy vacuuming should be done more slowly to allow the beating or suction action of your cleaner to thoroughly remove embedded particles.
Using the above as a rule of thumb will help you to maintain the beautiful appearance of your carpet, and postpone the need for professional cleaning to restore the color and texture of your carpet.
